Gabrielle Alexis

Gaby was born in Jérémie. She completed her primary and secondary studies at “L’Ecole Pressoir Jérôme and Collège Saint Louis” in Jérémie and at Collège Jean Price Mars in Port-au-Prince, respectively. Before migrating to Miami, Florida in 1980, she studied Industrial Design. Once in South Florida, she decided to pursue other careers in Accounting, Respiratory Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Cosmetology. Until her death on September 20, 2011, Gaby’s gift allowed her to do handy work, home repairs, and installing wood floors and most of all assisting her sister, Gilianne in processing medical claims and billing. Gaby is survived by her husband, Ricot Etienne, and her two daughters, Fabiola and Ashley.

Alex Apollon

Born in Jérémie, I grew up in Rochasse where I enjoyed the best years of my youth. My first loves, my best friends, I have known them all in Rochasse. I completed my primary and secondary studies at “Les Frères de l’Instruction Chrétienne” and at “Collège Saint Louis de Jérémie” and also at “Les Frères du Sacré Coeur de l’Impasse Lavaud” in Port-au-Prince respectively. My passion for numbers made me pursue my post-secondary studies at “Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales et Economiques de Port-au-Prince” in Haiti, at Adelphi University and Dowling College Oakdale in New York where I earned a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance. Once moved to Palm Coast in Florida, I built my own business, JRA AFCH, with my wife, Carine, where we are enjoying great success. Love of my life, pearl of my eyes, Alexa is my purpose in life.
